Feron

A trusted supplier of lighting products under the Feron and Feron.PRO brands, and electrical equipment under the Stekker brand. Feron-branded products have been well known across Russia and the CIS countries since 1999.

Task

The online store shop.feron.ru was conceived as a platform enabling both wholesale and small-batch buyers to order products within their regions, while remaining accessible to retail customers. The main goal of the project was to create a specialized marketplace that unites multiple warehouses, different user levels, and individual pricing tiers based on region and customer status. All of this is seamlessly integrated with delivery systems and 1C accounting software, ensuring stable operation, real-time updates, and reliable platform support.

Solutions

As part of the project, we began with detailed planning to define functional requirements and the store’s structural architecture. We laid the foundation for the website’s architecture and database structure. The server environment was deployed on Timeweb Cloud using Bitrix VM, ensuring high performance and scalability readiness.

On the Bitrix platform, we configured a system featuring a user-friendly interface designed according to best UX practices. We developed a functional page design, including responsive layouts for seamless experience across all devices.

Special attention was given to integration with external services:

  • Enabled online payments via Oschadbank Acquiring
  • Integrated shipping cost calculation through Russian Post
  • Implemented a flexible filtering system in the catalog, with filters tailored to each category
  • Added a convenient popup product preview, allowing users to quickly review key product specifications

One of the main challenges was managing multiple warehouses, dynamic pricing, and product availability for different user categories. To address this, we configured custom modules integrated with 1C, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and correct product availability display based on warehouse location and customer type.

After development, we conducted comprehensive testing to ensure stability across all features. Performance optimization significantly improved page loading speed and order processing, even under high traffic loads.

Once the online store was launched on the production server, the project transitioned into the support phase. We continue to provide regular updates tailored to evolving business needs and ensure a seamless user experience.

The shop.feron.ru store has evolved into a fully functional marketplace that effectively meets the needs of all customer segments.
